Are you on the lookout for a lawyer? Child custody issues, a criminal matter, help with a landlord tenant problem, writing your will or any other issue? These are disputes that lawyers major in but with varying outcomes. Residents of New York now have a platform to get a new, effective and convenient lawyer who has several years of experience.
The LRIS (New York State Bar Association’s trusted Lawyer Referral and Information Service) has started an online website portal where individuals can acquire a lawyer. The new service is available anytime any day but the previous telephone service is also available. Claire P. Gutekunst, the president and director of the State Bar, said that individuals usually require a lawyer in times of need. The confidence of the client is boosted by the fact that the lawyer’s credentials are thoroughly scrutinized hence high-level lawyers provided.
The online platform was started in association with Legal.io. This is a national provider of referral and marketplace management know-how for the legal sector. Tony Lai, the Chief Executive Officer of Legal.io, said that they are privileged to be involved with the biggest lawyer’s association pool and are proud to change the means in which lawyers deliver services. This will enable citizens to get lawyers easily, at a cheaper cost and with improved confidence. A user accesses the online service by visiting their website. The State Bar employees will then go through the questionnaire and match it with a qualified attorney with experience in such an incidence. If the soul resides in one of the seventeen counties that have a lawyer referral service, the request will be forwarded to the appropriate lawyer there.
